About

That Adolf Busch was one of the greatest violinists of the 20th-century is unarguable, but his recorded legacy as a solo artist is not as extensive as one might wish, so a coupling of Brahms' two great concertos written for the violin (the Double Concerto, of course, with solo cello as well) makes a thrilling CD of outstandingly memorable music-making.

In Brahms' Double Concerto, Adolf Busch is joined by his cellist brother Hermann, forming a CD of considerable artistic interest and merit. The performances date from 1949 and 1951, and the sound for this unique release has been carefully upgraded in accordance with the latest available technology.

A historic release of considerable merit.
