About
The duo of flute and piano composed by Juan Ronda and Auxiliadora Gil, both with a long chamber music experience in this as in other formations, focuses its repertoire on works by composers of the twentieth century. This is due to the musical interest of these works, because it will be in the twentieth century that the chamber music repertoire with piano definitely includes the flute, not without considerable preliminary objections as with the Sonatas by J.S. Bach or the variations for flute and piano “Trockne Blumen” by F. Schubert, exploiting the technical resources of the flute and the piano to the service of works of continuous dialogue between both instruments. The duo has participated in the cycle of chamber music “Mondays with our musicians” in the week of Santa Cecilia of C.S.M. “Manuel Castillo” in Seville, in the concert hall Joaquín Turina, and in the “XIII Nights in the Gardens of Real Alcazar” of Sevilla.
