About

The new album by the Choir of Worcester College, Oxford, directed by Thomas Allery, comprises choral music for upper voice by composers such as Langlais, Dupré, Saxton, Chilcott, Duruflé, Metcalf and others.

This recording showcases an array of music for upper voices, in a range of combinations and with organ, in music appropriate for all the seasons of the Church calendar. It presents a combination of known and loved ‘classics’ for upper voices, such as Marcel Dupré’s Ave Maria, alongside some lesser-known works and premiere recordings. There are also several works produced by current Worcester College musicians, a testament to the intimate connections between musical performance and scholarship in the College.
