Telarc – creative recording philosophy and sound quality par excellence Telarc was launched in 1977 as a pure classical label. It was founded by musicians Jack Renner and Robert Woods who quickly became known for their high quality recordings and signature Telarc sound.

Over time, the company amassed over 50 Grammy Awards. Telarc has enjoyed long relationships with the ‘Prince of Pops’ Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, Robert Shaw and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Leonard Slatkin and the St Louis Symphony Orchestra. Numerous legendary recordings came as a result of these relationships.
