Andrea Macinanti (organ)About
This volume contains music written between 1906 and 1910, during the period in which Bossi was the principal of the Liceo Musicale of Bologna. The programme begins with the extensive Pièce héroïque op.128, and continues with the powerful Konzertstück op.130. The survey ends with Cinque pezzi in stile libero (Five Pieces in a free style) which were composed around 1910.
Like the previous discs, the organ that Andrea Macinanti plays on this recording is one that belonged to Bossi’s musical world, in this case an instrument made in 1897 by Carlo Vegezzi- Bossi for the Chiesa del Sacro Cuore of Cuneo.
