Terje TonnesenAbout
Besides providing the greater dynamic spectrum that a larger ensemble can bring to the music, Terje Tønnesen's main aim in these transcriptions has been to strengthen the contrasts between intimate passages and fuller textures.
Reinstated is the Grosse Fuge in its proper context: a 15 minute monolith that was originally intended as the finale of No.13 but later replaced with a more 'audience friendly' rondo.
