About
This talented cello and piano recital duo have been performing together since 2003, when they were still students at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. Having played hundreds of concerts together, including most of the standard works from the classical and romantic eras alongside contemporary music, they decided to make this live recording of Mendelssohn’s complete works for cello and piano.
The result is a thrilling account of the repertoire, brilliantly performed and wonderfully recorded. The disc stands as a testament to the performances that have been heard by audiences around the UK (Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, Bridgewater Hall), and in Sweden, Holland and Germany.
A wonderful recital, beautifully recorded, with extensive booklet notes.
