About
It is 27 years since the Leipziger Vokalromantiker formed and now their eighth CD is released with the title 'Wie ist die Welt so stille'.
Some pieces, having been part of the ensemble's repertoire for a long time, are interpreted anew. And not only vocally. The wind players of Opus 4, already partners of the Vokalromantiker within the recording studio and concert hall, play compositions which had originallybeen written for men's choir.
Together the ensembles span a repertoire from Gregorian chant to romanticism, whilst short meditative organ interludes played by Jürgen Opfermann create fluent transitions.
