ArcadiaAbout
Francesco Barsanti was a contemporary of Geminiani, and like him worked for a number of years in London. Barsanti then moved to Edinburgh, where he lived for some 30 years, before making his return to the British capital.
His first published opus, consisting of these six flute sonatas, allow the superb members of the ensemble Arcadia to project all their sensitivity for and control of the melodic impulse, and of the realisation of the basso continuo.
Arcadia:
- Christoph Ehrsam [recorder]
- Eunice Brandão [viola da gamba]
- Attilio Cremonesi [harpsichord]
