John Speight has now lived longer in Iceland than his country of Birth, England (Plymouth). In 2005 John Speight was awarded an artists’ grant from the state to compose a symphony, his fourth, and in the following years a number of concertos by Speight were premiered under the title 'Cantus' - there are six of them to date. Two of them can be heard on this disc.
All are World premiere recordings.
