About
Diana Ambache says: ‘Martin Cooper’s description in his book French Music says “The French composer is consciously concerned with the two data no one can question – his intelligence and his senses.” The music from the years spanned by this recording (1861-1952) illustrates these and other French characteristics, except that I am changing “his” to “hers”.’
