Mahler 3 is one of the great masterpieces of late Romanticism. Composed in 1896, it is Mahler’s longest piece and requires huge forces for performance. For this performance, Japanese mezzo-soprano Mihoko Fujimura sings the haunting solo in the fourth movement with the Gary Bertini Israeli Choir together with the children of the Joshua Tuttnauer Ankor Choir of the Jerusaem Academy providing the chorus for the joyful fifth movement.
This 2-CD edition comes with a 28-page full colour brochure.
