About

The new album from TACET of Bruckner’s Ninth Symphony represents the start of the new partnership between the conductor András Keller, Concerto Budapest and the label, presented on a choice of either CD or SACD multi-channel sound in TACET Real Surround Sound.

Recorded over five days, this performance of Bruckner’s Ninth Symphony in D minor, the composer’s last symphony on which he worked and which he dedicated to God, reaches into the depths of the piece and elegantly expresses the themes of grandeur and nullity, self-doubt and certainty and of life and death.

András Keller is well-known as a violinist and founder of the Keller Quartet, and as the director and conductor of the Concerto Budapest. He is a regular guest professor of the International Musicians Seminar Prussia Cove and the Aix-en-Provence Festival. Between 2012-2015, he served as the head of the Chamber Music Department at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. Since 2016, he has been teaching at the violin faculty of The Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London where in 2018 he was appointed as Béla Bartók International Chair in recognition of his world-class performing career and services to music.
