Tatiana Primak-Khoury is a Ukrainian-Lebanese pianist. She began her concert career in her native Ukraine before extending her activities to performances in Europe, the United States and the Middle East. A laureate of national and international piano competitions, she has a Master’s degree from the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in Kiev. Since moving to Lebanon, she has been committed to expanding the boundaries of her traditional repertoire. She also explores rarely heard works by Ukrainian and Lebanese composers. In addition to her performing career, Primak-Khoury serves as artist-in-residence at the University of Balamand in Lebanon, and teaches at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music.
‘a showcase of the diversity of possibilities from composers with a similar cultural background. Furthermore, the album demonstrates a progression of classical music – a movement away from the influences of Europe to a sound that is uniquely contemporary and specifically Lebanese.’ – Fanfare on Vol.1 (GP715)
