This is the first release on CD of the 1955 Decca mono recordings of Gregorian Chant for Christmas and Easter (originally on two LPs) by the Choir of the Monks of the Abbey of Saint Pierre de Solesmes conducted by Dom Joseph Gajard, OSB. With notes by the leading expert in Gregorian Chant recordings, Father Jerome F. Weber, this atmospheric CD will appeal to scholars and enthusiasts alike.
