About
The artists appearing in this recording are some of Australia’s finest musicians. The soprano Taryn Fiebig has performed with all the major Australian opera companies and orchestras. She is also an accomplished cellist, and appears in concert as singer and cellist. A distinguished academic, the horn-player Darryl Poulsen has also held principal-horn positions in European and Australian orchestras and performed throughout Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia and toured nationally and internationally as a soloist. James Cuddeford is currently Concertmaster of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Scott Davie is known to audiences as a soloist and chamber musician. In 2012, with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra under Vladimir Ashkenazy, he gave the Australian premiere of the original version of Rachmaninov’s Fourth Piano Concerto at the Sydney Opera House. And Daniel Herscovitch is currently Associate Professor of Piano at The University of Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he has also lectured for many years in chamber music and piano pedagogy.
