The following album continues the path of interpretation of Polish composers’ music. This time, we will hear Shelley playing the brilliant-style Piano Concerto no.1 in E major by Władysław Krogulski, referred to as the “Polish Mozart”. On the album, there is also Adagio et rondeau a la polonaise in E flat major, op.9, for piano with the accompaniment of orchestra by Franciszek Lessel, which can be seen as a prototype of Chopin’s Andante spianato et Grande Polonaise brillante, op.22. The album was recorded in the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio.
