One of them is connected with the figure of Polish violinist – Stanisław Barcewicz, for whom Karłowicz decided to compose his first composition for violin.
The second one, the Symphony “Rebirth”, is traditionally seen in the patriotic and national context; it was the culmination of compositional studies of the artist in Berlin.
The album, released in the series Concerts Frozen in Time, is wholly devoted to Karłowicz’s works for violin in the interpretation of Elena Baeva, playing the “Molitor” Stradivarius from 1697.
