About

With "Teach Me!", the established Boulanger Trio simultaneously presented an extremely cleverly put together and musically rousing concept album as well as their first release on Berlin Classics. On "Wanderlust", their new album, they explore romantic emotional worlds, take us on a journey into the most diverse soundscapes and seize the musical walking stick. The works that the Boulanger Trio has chosen for its exploration of Wanderlust are partly heard in arrangements specially commissioned for this recording. Each work knows how to bring out the tonal diversity that only a piano trio is capable of realising. The subject that links the selected compositions, wanderlust, is wisely chosen. After all, the culture of wandering is a genuine invention of Romanticism: individual movement on foot in the great outdoors, not for the sake of reaching a destination but for the sake of this movement and the associated (natural) experiences.

Boulanger Trio:
- Karla Haltenwanger (piano)
- Birgit Erz (violin)
- Ilona Kindt (cello)
