Edward Elgar is probably best known for the ‘Enigma’ Variations and the Pomp and Circumstance Military Marches, both of which are represented in arrangements not always included on recordings of Elgar’s complete organ works.
This recording has been made almost exclusively using the original registers from 1892 and 1909, representing the instrument as it would have been heard by the composer. Booklet notes for this release have been written by Tom Winpenny.
