About

The JUNO Award-winning ensemble L'Harmonie des saisons returns with a brand new recording devoted to some of the best-known concertos by J.S. Bach.

Included are the Concerto for 2 violins in D minor; the Concerto for violin in A minor; the Concerto for oboe d'amore in A major; the Concerto for oboe and violin in C minor; and the Concerto for harpsichord in D major played by guests soloists and members from the ensemble.

Founded in 2010 by co-directors Mélisande Corriveau and Eric Milnes, L'Harmonie des saisons performs on period instruments and inspires audiences with its fresh and unique musical approach. After presenting forty different programmes in over 150 concerts, the ensemble continues to expand its acclaim throughout Quebec, Canada, and abroad.

Their ATMA Classique recordings Las Ciudades de Oro, and Solfeggio with soprano Hélène Brunet, have both received JUNO Awards. Alongside international guest artists, L'Harmonie des saisons hosts a prestigious series of concerts and has been featured at international series and festivals across Europe, North and South America. They have received generous grants from the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Quebec, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Musicaction Foundation.

Native New Yorker Eric Milnes has established an international reputation as conductor, harpsichordist, and organist through his many performances for the most distinguished festivals and presenters across North America, Europe, South America and Asia.

As a director of ensembles such as L'Harmonie des saisons, Montreal Baroque, The Portland Baroque Orchestra, The New York Collegium, New York Baroque, Seattle Baroque Orchestra, Les Boréades and Les Délices he has made more than 50 recordings, and has led countless performances, radio broadcasts and television productions.
