Six great Quebec lyrical voices portray the protagonist Albertine at various stages of her life: Chantal Lambert (age 70), Monique Pagé (age 60), Chantal Dionne (age 50), Florence Bourget (age 40), Catherine St-Arnaud (age 30). Marianne Lambert portrays Albertine's sister Madeleine.
The recording of Albertine en cinq temps - L'opéra was made at the Domaine Forget concert hall in Charlevoix following the stage premiere of the work at the Théâtre du Rideau Vert, which was directed by Nathalie Deschamps.
Singer-songwriter Catherine Major already has four albums to her credit and as many tours. Her career successes include a Jutra for "Best Film Score" for Le Ring (Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette), as well as the Félix-Leclerc de la chanson award, to name a few. She has collaborated on many projects, including the Corps Amour Anarchie - Léo Ferré tour. She composes for other performers, notably Diane Dufresne.
