The recording of the Brandenburg Concertos in March-April 2021 by the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra was intended to celebrate the anniversary of these works, whose dedication dates to Spring 1721. The first step was to make a video of live recordings without editing, which was streamed on the Orchestra's YouTube channel, as the restrictions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic did not allow a public concert to be given at this time.  A team of musicians specialised in the use of historical instruments completed the string group of the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra for the occasion. Then came the idea of a discographic publication, which required some corrections and the realisation of a new mix.

This interpretation is intended to be the direct reflection of a living performance, with the vagaries – but also the authenticity – of a performance recorded “live”.
