Karin Hammar Fab4 is a jazz quartet based in Stockholm, Sweden, led by the trombone player and composer Karin Hammar. The group has existed since 2014 and has released three previous CDs – all internationally appreciated with great reviews both in and outside Sweden – for example in the American jazz magazine Down Beat and German Jazzthing. Karin Hammar Fab4 has over 10 million streams on Spotify and her music reaches more than 44,000 listeners every month. The group tours frequently, mostly in Sweden but also often abroad.

After having combined the Fab4-quartet with different guests and sounds the last few years, the timing was right to invite a pianist into the Fab4-world. Since being a long time fan of the Italian piano legend Rita Marcotulli, Karin asked her to collaborate. The quartet and Miss Marcotulli got together in Stockholm in April 2022 and recorded nine brand new songs together.
