About
The songs refer to the Neoromantic style yet echoes of impressionism and expressionism can also be heard. Full of expression, they are evidence of the author's compositional craftsmanship, but also a reflection of the richness of his personal experiences. The message is reinforced by words drawn from works of outstanding poets - including Mickiewicz, Kasprowicz and Norwid. During the composer's life, they were performed by the best Polish singers, also abroad.
The recorded material is performed by three artists, actively performing on important stages. Involved in the performance of both new and early music, regulars of well-known festivals. Their suggestive interpretations leave no doubt - Friemann's output is worth discovering and recalling.
