About
Bruno Canino, born in Naples, is a renowned pianist and composer. He studied at the Conservatory of Milan and later taught there for twentyfour years. He also taught piano and chamber music at the Conservatory of Bern. Canino has performed extensively as a soloist and in chamber ensembles across Europe, America, Australia, Japan, and China. He collaborates with esteemed musicians such as Salvatore Accardo, Uto Ughi, and Itzahk Perlman. Canino's passion for contemporary music has led him to work with notable composers like Pierre Boulez, Luciano Berio, and György Ligeti. He has recorded numerous albums, including complete piano works by Casella and Chabrier. Canino regularly conducts master classes and has participated in the Marlboro Music Festival for over four decades.
Matteo Cossu, a violinist and musicologist, received his education from various prestigious institutions including the Conservatory of Perugia, Santa Cecilia Academy, Imola Piano Academy, Mozarteum, and Académie de musique Tibor Varga. He has performed as a soloist and in duos at Italian Cultural Institutes worldwide, collaborating with orchestras like Rome's “Concerto barocco” and Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México. Cossu has recorded numerous albums, including works by Prokofiev and Tartini. In addition to his performing career, he holds a PhD in Musicology and has published works on Tartini's “L’Arte dell’arco”. He currently collaborates with Padua’s “Centro Studi Tartiniano” on critical editions of Tartini’s works.
