Yuri AhronovitchAbout
An extraordinary career outside Russia that began only after the decision to emigrate to Israel and adopt its citizenship; a decision that earned him a true split from his country of origin, to which he never returned, not even after the dissolution of the USSR.
These recordings were made over twenty years and feature some of the most prestigious orchestras he directed including the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, DNRSO, SWF Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden (und Freiburg), the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and of course the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra.
The performances are revived and remastered in all their splendour and presented in a special-priced box set of five compact discs complete with booklet with lyrics and photos.
