16 July 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the spectacularly successful concert at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles of three men acclaimed as the world’s greatest tenors: José Carreras, Plácido Domingo, and Luciano Pavarotti.
Their performance, which took place before the 1994 World Cup, featured a star-studded live audience and was broadcast in 100 countries to an estimated 1.3 billion viewers.
It was the first ever classical music event at the stadium, following acts such as the Beatles, U2, The Cure, Elton John, and Eric Clapton.
Recorded ‘live’ at Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles, 16 July 1994
