Here [the Danish National Radio Choir] turn their attention to some of the lovely unaccompanied Gesänge, and include also as a highlight of the concert the luscious settings of Op. 17, which have delectable harp accompaniments and obbligatos for one or two horns. Sehnsucht, the first of the six piano-accompanied Quartets which follow, has one of the composer's most seductive melodies, and the robust set of Zigeunerlieder which close the recital, sung with great vigour, show the composer at his most infectiously boisterous.This product has now been deleted.
