About

Although no more than an occasional and highly idiosyncratic composer of church music, Benjamin Brittten spent a lot of his working life performing in and creatively influenced by an Anglican church environment.
The well-known Old Testament story of Noah and the Ark is simplicity itself and Britten’s musico-dramatic realisation brings it vividly to life. Noye’s Fludde was his second children’s opera and is a musical setting of the Chester Miracle play.
