This recording brings together almost all the piano works of Casablancas, from the early Prelude and Fugue in C, followed ten years later by the richly polyphonic triptych, Three Pieces for piano, to the Three Bagatelles, which balance brilliant virtuosity with the sonorous delicacy of impressionistic inspiration, to the composer’s most recent work, written especially for this recording, Tre Divertimenti for piano for four hands.
