About
Steve Davislim enjoys a stellar international career in the world’s top opera houses and concert halls. The timbre and style of Davislim’s singing here is redolent of that of Sir Peter Pears, for whose distinctive voice many of these arrangements were conceived.
Australian-born Simone Young – well-known to British audiences for her judging role in BBC-2’s Maestro series in 2008 – is recognised as a leading conductor of her generation. For this recital she is at the piano, playing an equal part in conveying the atmosphere and emotion of these deceptive miniatures.
