About
The name of Ida Presti holds more than a touch of magic for guitar enthusiasts all over the world. She composed a number of works for the duo she formed with Alexander Lagoya. This music was not available until the French guitarist and Professor of the Music Conservatory in Paris, Olivier Chassain, in cooperation with Norwegian guitarist and Professor of the Grieg Academy, Stein-Erik Olsen, reconstructed the works for recording and publishing.
Olivier Chassain and Stein-Erik Olsen are both students of Alexander Lagoya, and it is their painstaking work that has made it possible to bring this music to the public again.
As an important extra bonus, Chassain and Olsen have been allowed to use the fantastic Bouchet guitars, built especially for Presti/Lagoya, when making this recording. Musée de la Musique in Paris hosted the recording sessions.
