This new recording presents his largest scale work to date - the beautiful and haunting Requiem for solo viola, upper voices and organ - performed by the dedicatees, internationally-renowned violist Philip Dukes (“Great Britain’s most outstanding solo viola player” - The Times) and the Chamber Choir of St Mary’s Calne.
Also includes three anthems for upper voices, including Bednall’s powerfully-rhythmic setting of Let all the world.
“…this pungent, turbulent style; it is music in a perpetual state of climax…” - BBC Music Magazine, March 2007
