Since 1987, Naxos has redefined how classical music is presented and marketed. Innovative strategies of recording exciting new repertoire with exceptional talent have enabled the label to develop one of the largest and fastest growing catalogues of unduplicated repertoire available anywhere--currently over 7000 Naxos CD, DVD & Blu-Ray titles--with state-of-the-art sound and consumer-friendly prices.

When manufacturing costs of compact discs dropped in 1986, Klaus Heymann saw an opportunity for a budget-priced CD label - a label that could offer customers classical CDs for the same price as LPs. The first Naxos releases were a success, and the young, independent label began to build its catalogue by recording standard repertoire with young or unknown artists. As the popularity of Naxos began to increase with little or no competition from the major labels, the company developed into a full-fledged classical label offering a full range of classical music to beginners and collectors, with little or no duplication of repertoire.

Although no longer ’budget’, Naxos today continues to offer music lovers a veritable encyclopaedia of music, all at an affordable price. Browse our range of Naxos CD’s, DVD’s and Blu-rays below.

Use this page to search for more specific requirements. Any combination of criteria can be used.

We would recommend keeping your search as simple as possible - this will help in returning the maximum number of results.

The following tips may assist you in your search:
  • Avoid using punctuation marks and spaces when searching for catalogue numbers - all of these are removed for ease of use.
  • Try using just one word in each of the fields you use. For example, only type the surname of an artist rather than their whole name.
  • The keyword box will search the entire database, including all extra information attached to a product. This is best used for very specific words, or for adding an extra word to narrow down your search results.
  • The genre box is useful for wider searching, but is not recommended for specific searches, as not every product has been assigned a genre. Please note that concertos are included under Orchestral and that Chamber includes all small ensembles of two musicians or more.
Please note that we are continuing to add more products to our database on a daily basis. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact us and, as long as the product is still available, we will order it for you and send it as soon as possible.
