About
An expressive and experienced concert singer, Ms. Claire has worked with Bernard Haitink, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, James Levine, Michael Tilson Thomas, and Kent Nagano. Her extensive international recital presence has included programmes of art song at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, CBC Glenn Gould Studio, and a multi-city tour of Canada as the winner of the Eckhardt-Gramatte National Music Competition.
A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and the Université de Montréal, Marie-Ève Scarfone leads a very successful career as a pianist in Canada and abroad. Quite active on the opera stage, Ms. Scarfone was the musical director of various opera productions (Wexford Festival Opera, Festival d’Opéra de Québec). She is a rehearsal pianist at the Opéra de Montréal and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, and is a vocal coach at McGill University and the Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal.
