About
As a young man, Darius Milhaud travelled from France to Latin America and the United States. His experience of the New World inspired Le Boeuf sur le toit and Saudades do Brasil, with their exuberant and sinuous dance rhythms, and La Création du Monde, which sprang from his discovery of Harlem jazz.
